Manzanita sugar is made from 100% pure wildcrafted Manzanita berries. Manzanita (Arctostaphylos spp.) has been used for milennia as a wild food by native Californians. The thin-skinned berries contains a sweet-tart powder that can be used as a sweetener, popcorn topping, and powdered sugar alternative. We use Manzanita sugar in our Of Land & Sea Salt Seasoning Blend.

Quercus Collective Manzanita Sugar is made from dried Manzanita berries that we harvested ourselves from beloved land. We cleaned out the sticks before grinding, then sifted out the seeds and hard skins to leave you with a soft sweet powder.

Manzanita means "little apple" in Spanish. Their name in Nisenan is dokdok, and in Mountain Maidu, e,pum.
